Make time for your relationships


When you have kids you spend a lot of your time relating to your partner as a parent. Much of your conversations revolve around children, their health, education, leisure and well-being.  You both inevitably become immersed in their lives and you spend less time together with your partner on your own, and when you do you often find yourself talking about the kids. It seems there is always some issue or problem that needs discussing.    It’s important to share the load of parenting. I’ve known many mothers to be sole parents within a dual parenting relationship, as all the hands-on parenting is left up to them. It’s lonely and isolating when you shoulder the parenting alone.
